Pencil portraits give me the opportunity to experience love and kindness in a way that is hard to describe. It has given me a deeper reflection about human beings: what’s behind the eyes, every line of their smile, their story.
Amar, originally from Lebanon, is a recent graduate of St. Catharines Collegiate where she was the top of the fine art class, specializing in several skills, such as painting, sculpture, photography, illustration, printmaking and ceramics.
My passion is telling stories and creating a shared experience through multiple mediums, featuring themes including, but not limited to, LGBTQI2S+, trauma survivors, nature, mental illness and neurodiversity.
